Hello from a Private Equity/Real-Estate Value Investor Hey BlastInvestor,
Thank you for this website. We run into your website as we are researching some info on REITs (we are planning to do a UPREIT in about 12 mos) and found your article on CEI.
(Sideline: we are esp. interested in companies that do Lambert-like turnaround (i.e. buying distressed assets [price lower than intrinsic value] and have ethical and highly capable management team that knows how to create value). Know of any? Would love to study how they did it and whether the strategy is any good. )
While yours and our niche are different (we are global private equity and real-estate value-investor instead of stock investors), it's nonetheless a pure joy to find like-minded "value-investor" that are students of Buffet and Munger. Looking forward to learn from your website.
Cheers,
YesInvestor |

Hi yesinvestor,
Welcome to Value Investing Forum!
Although this forum only focuses on stocks issues in real estate sector, certainly value investing style is pure investing style. Therefore, the analysis, and valuation process is same for REIT stock or for real estate properties.
The language is same. CAP rate and NAV are most important issues in real estate market, cap reate and NAV value are top concern for value investors too. |
