Thanks, Yong-Xin blast_investor Thu Jan 11, 2007 6:31 pm       Belarus and Russia recent dispute on natural gas/oil price was another incident of national control. Venezuela intention of nationalization is another example. Energy will not be totally free trade. This is precious commodity that national government would fight against each other on this. This is also a commodity that Western world does not control. Majority of supply is in the hands of Russia, Arabian, or Venezuela world. Most US or British big cap oil companies are diversified globally. Any single event such as Venezuela's nationalization won't affect COP or XOM or other oil major firms.
