BXL This company flashed on my radar because it's mostly holding cash after a huge sale of it's holding.
The numbers thus are very skewed by this recent sale, which makes me skeptical, however even if you adjust the numbers a bit it seems like a very good value investment. (I adjusted EPS down to somewhere around 4 or 5, as 24 is just an anomaly after their recent sale, and adjusted EPS growth a lot too because they can't sell their holdings like this every single quarter)
Anyone else have any thoughts on this stock? |

Hi Tireur:
This stock BXL is not an operating company. It is an investment fund type of stock, just like a closed end fund that trades in stock market.
I would not value this with earnings method. I would value this just like mutual fund or closed end fund with Net Asset Value approach. The return of this stock is just like any closed end fund, depending the investment skills of the management.
Actually, a bit difference on this and other closed end fund is that, closed end fund usually invest into stocks or companies in the stock market, this company can invest into any companies, or even private small companies. In that sense, this is like a venture fund. |
