OVTI Hi, Blast and everyone here, I am a newcomer to this forum, and just started my investment 4 months before.
I have a question about OminVision, a semi- fabless company which makes image sensor/module, for cellphone handset, laptop and security systems. It seems it is experiencing an exciting turnaround, and will regain its market share and competitive advantages against its competitors.
How do you think about this stock? is its current pps worth for more investment? Thanks! |

Hi baczhou,
OVTI stock at current stock price of $18 a share is still a high priced stocks with lots of risk in its business. I would not call it as value pick. You can tell this from its still high price to book ( 2.0 ) ratio.
A simple way you can judge on this stock is its insider buying and selling actitivies. If you check OVTI insider actions here:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/it?s=OVTI
You can find that OVTI insiders sold huge amount of shares last year between $14 to $22 range price in 2005 and 2006.
Insiders were selling this stock OVTI in last 2 years at below $18 a share, why would you want to buy it?
I would avoid it. It is a stock without enough of margin of safety. |
