Failed merge opportunity?

Failed merge opportunity?
Recently there are lots of failed merges and those companies' stock price dropped significantly. Are there any good opportunity there for us?

Some examples:
SLM deal price: 60, current price 28
ACXM deal price: 27.15 current price 11
CVC deal price 36.2 current price 24 (failed due to shareholder rejected deal)
Mye deal price 22.5, current price 14
PHH deal price 31.5 current price 21 (not completely failed yet)

That is good thinking. In the near term, there might be downward presures. The upside is more clear. Maybe, the deal price is the upper bound.

look like MYE is the best among those candidates.

The fundamentals of MYE are not in a too bad situation at this price level. I haven't figure out why the board let GSCP go so easily. They must know the stock price will take a significant beat.

The chairman and his/her family own a large stake of the company.
It's very weired.

What I heard from the message board of yahoo is that the merger agreement was drafted by a director from GSCP.
