It seems most people here are passive investors... It's difficult to find value investors among Chinese. Most people are speculators, not to mention, bad speculators or gamblers. Hope to see more discussions here on stock picks! Not just by blast himself. It's been really quiet recently.

valuation It seems quiet here. Let me raise some noise.
what kind of valuation methods are used for what company or industry.?
I noticed asset valuation/ p/fcf are used for oil/Gas company, and ROI are used for real estate. But how about other industry? It seems DCF was not discuss here, and relative valuation is not popular here either.
For example, how to value Pipeline company(PNY) , media company(HTV) and chemical company (DOW). |

If we can get a big enough study group, each person writes a report on one sector in terms of how to value companies in the same sector, it'd be of great value for learning value investing.
Or maybe blast can write a series on this.
