margin interest for tax deduction

Can margin interest be used to offset capital gain for income tax purpose? What's the terms and conditions?

Margin interest typically can be deducted against dividend, interest income etc.

There is limit on deduction against capital gain. I do not know exect terms and details. You can check IRS publication at:
