Hello Value Investing Forum folks,

Value Investing Forum (VIF) and BlastInvest are co-launching a beta version of VIF reward program based on points system. The VIF points are worth real money! Now you can redeem the VIF points for free subscription of BlastInvest premium newsletter: Blast Investor Real-time Plus (BIRTP)!
VIF points are also transferable so that you can sell VIF points at Ebay or sell it to BlastInvest for minimum of $10 USD cash.

Basically, members can earn points for posting articles in the forum or referring new members to the forum. The points never expire!

The current redeeming feature is as below:

When you accumulate 10,000 points, you can redeem for 1 month of free BIRTP subscription.

VIF Reward Program - Earn credits by referring new forum members.

Referring Points:

(1)Currently, you can earn 1000 points for referring one new forum member.
If you refer 10 new forum members, you get 1 month free of BIRTP.
(2) Only registered member of VIF who has posted at least one post can participate to earn credits.
(3) Login into you VIF account, click "Reward Center", look for left side menu (small black menu), click and select "Invite Friend". When your friend receives the email and decides to register and join, your points shown in your profile is updated. The system is cookie based so that even if your friend decides to join couple of days later from the same computer, our forum program should still reward you.

For the points to be qualified for redeeming, we require that the new member that you invited must at least post one message. You can ask him/her to post short note in the Investor Cafe Board for you to be able to redeem that points.

(4) Please do not cheat the system. Do not invite yourself with multiple email accounts. We can detect web traffic and we will disqualify you for the program if you are found to cheat the referral program.

(5)Please do not spam. Do not send referral emails blindly to someone that you do not know or does not want to receive.

VIF Reward Program - Earn credits by posting articles in the forum.

Posting Points:

(1) Participating Boards: Value Investing Forum part only (BlastInvest public forum or blog part are excluded).

(2) When you post or reply in the participating boards, you will earn up to 100 points credit. If you are good writer, you can earn 1 month free of BIRTP subscription by posting as little as 100 messages.

(3) The main system for rewarding posting is based on article length. Topic starter get extra bonus when someone else reply to your topic.

Quoted text is not counted in credits. Each edit or deletion of article would also adjust your earnings accordingly.

(4) Do not cheat the system. Any topics that are not related to value investing are considered spam. When moderators penalize member for spamming more than certain number of times (undisclosed), the member is disqualified for the whole reward program forever. We are very stringent on enforcing the rule and our reward program goal is to let members to enjoy high quality and rich value investing content, not spam.

(5) Special event writing competition reward. We also plan to host from time to time special value investing article competition. There will be reward for the competition winner.

Reward Program - Donation

The reward program allows member to donate your points to other members. We are certainly encouraging members to donate your points to whoever you feel are very helpful on this forum.

By the way, you do not need to donate points to blast_investor, he is the owner of BlastInvest.com and value-investing-forum.com. He should be very glad to help everyone out here in this forum.

Reward Program - Buy and Sell on VIF points
Buy and Sell on VIF Points

VIF points are transferable, therefore, VIF members can buy or sell points freely for cash.

We do not provide buy and sell service. We also do not mediate or solve your VIF points buy and sell dispute. Members are encouraged to use Ebay or other related auction service to sell your points. With Ebay service, you can get protection as buyers or sellers in case of dispute.

VIF does not warrant redeemability of seller members' points. As courtesy, we can verify redeemability of user's point (minimum 10,000 points) who want to sell. You are adviced to verify redeemability of VIF points before you buy.

Members can put ad on selling VIF points or advertise your Ebay listing of auctioning VIF points in VIF Reward Board:

Hi, blast,

I am wondering how I can donate my points to someone else? Is there any mechanism to do the transferrence? Thanks a lot.

One more question. Is is possible to open a simulated model for us so that we can test our portfolio easily? I have one in goofiz, but it become a mass recently. I believe many members of this forum have their own picks and opererations, a simulated model will benefit them and increases visiting number at the same time. Thanks.

Hi balaoko,

Currently there is no formal donation process. You can simply use the button "donate" under other user's id in the article to donate to that user.

There is no plan for Value Investing Forum to have simulation account feature.
