Insider Buying List I have got Blast's insider buying list every week for a long time. Thanks Blast.
However, recently I wrote a program to collect such information myself. I can find those companies who have insider buying, but cannot find those information like PE, PB, etc. and do not know how to classify them as "growth", "value", etc. Can Blast help me figure out these information?

You can get Valuation metrics such as PE PB from YHOO. |

Thank you. But I notice that your data has some difference from yahoo's.
And I don't know how to fetch information from yahoo:(
Currently, I am trying to get information from sec's ftp server. so I developed some program to the fetch insider buying list. however, it sounds like difficulty to fetch info. like pe, pb, etc. How do you get those information and where? Thank you for your generous reply.

There is no FTP for download at YHOO. Yahoo provides detailed info such as EBITA, Net Income etc for every stock. You have to mine from its web page. Therefore, your software must behave like a web robot.
The BlastInvest insider buying tool parse Yahoo web information for every stock and calculate those numbers by itself. The source is from YHOO, but number may not be exactly same due to its own calculation. BlastInvest insider buying software is just like a typical web robot running over web sites mining for stock information.
Of course, Yahoo data is very crude. I have not found any better free source for this kind of valuation calculation.
MSN offers similiar data source as well. However, MSN or YHOO all are web based source that requires web robot software for data mining purposes. |

BTW, I believe SEC's datasource is more reliable. You may get more valuable information in digging its huge data sea:)

I believe the source for insider buying at YHOO is from SEC web site.
They all come from same source.
SEC is source of everything, it is faster than YHOO. YHOO source is delayed.
But YHOO has its own nice valuation metrics data available. |
