Hollinger International????
Hi Blast,

Newspaper industry stocks are currently viewed very unfavorably. There have been large reductions in market value. Is this reflective of true reduction in intrinsic value???

And what is your opinion of Hollinger International in particular??

Hi Hawk4Value,

I would stay away from this stock Hollinger International Inc. (HLR). HLR was scandal stock and it is still not clean yet.

HLR's former CEO Mr. Black looted this company, hundreds of millions. The former boss is still controling most of votes of this company through special entity arrangement. Right now there is board fight within HLR, but we do not know the outcome.

More importantly, this stock balance sheet is in mess. Huge negative cashflow, large unaccounted dividend payment (probably to special entity). This is huge red flag.
