Pretty happy with the picks
I was inactive for a while after getting burned in the great internet bubble. Around Q4 2004 some friends said it is time to get back into market. Tried some high tech picks that I know as engineer myself and got mixed result. I tried to use some TA on some good company to time my buys, and tried some picks I read from wenxuecity's finance board, but the result are not satisfactory. I got big gains in AMD, WIT, and big losses in UTSI, CYD, QCOM. Overall the performance is CD like (maybe even worse, because I haven't close all positions) and not worth the time/effort spent.

In the middle of this I tried the free trial of blast news letter. As many of you would do I didn't totally trust it at the beginning although I heard good things about it. I watched charts of the stocks on the hot list and added some positions gradually. The result has been very consistent. The beginning of Jan is pretty bad for my other stocks, but the blast picks remained positive.

I have used CBS marketwatch technical indicator for a few months but it gives too many picks and is impossible to follow. It always boasts about the right calls and never mentions the suckers. Instead the blast hotlist is short and easy to follow, and we can track the model portfolio performance.

I felt this is one of the best decisions I ever made in investing so far.
