Where do you get the raw data for your screens?

Hi Mike:
The raw data that BlastInvest data mining operation used is mainly from Yahoo.
We are considering to use other sources as well, such as MSN money or directly from SEC in the future. |

Hi, blast,
Have you tried to use data source from sites other than Yahoo? Recently Yahoo just changed a lot and a lot of data is not available now. for example, the profile and key statistics are missing. that makes stock screen very difficult. I am wondering whether we should dig out data from SEC files. That would be a much difficult work due to the inconsistency of the expression in the files.
Or, do you have other choices? I mean a free one. |

MSN moneycentral is another source for stock data, but not as good as yahoo.
I noticed Yahoo finance has the glitch as well recently. Yahoo finance had similar problems in that past. I would expect it will recover from this problem later on.
