You probably can borrow from public library if you live in USA. Usually local library carry this book.
The book is indeed expensive. It is out of print and it is selling at $700 a book in Ebay or Amazon. |

seems to be available only in very big libraries. i found it in the library of congress and harvard library but not in many other libraries. unfortunately, neither is convenient to access.
maybe it's not worth the effort to get it. |

It's worth the effort I requested it from my local library in Utah and got it two weeks later from a college in Colorado. |

Just go to your library and request it from another library, it should work if you live in the US. |

I got this book from public library. This book can be easily obtained here in Connecticut.
Seth Klarman's book does not have detailed value investing techniques. It talks mostly about mind set and psychology.
His book covers a lot on why Wall Street and mutual funds and institutional investors fail in performance.
I bet many retail investors would cry after reading this book and immediately sell their mutual fund holdings and look for alternatives. |

From my readings so far, the techniques in value investing do not have much mystery. It's (1) in-depth understanding of the industry and business, and (2) mentality that are more difficult to achieve. |

If anyone is still interested in the book... ...I'd be happy to send along a copy to anyone willing to reimburse me the costs of copying and postage. Note that I am talking about a PHOTOCOPY, not the book itself, so this would only interest those of you who want to read the book for its content (as opposed to those who might want to own it for its "cache").
I'm new to this forum, so I have no idea if there is a way for interested parties to contact me directly or just post a note of interest here. Feel free to advise me either way. |
