UTSI vs. SOHU
UTSI seems very attractive at this price range. I am not sure if it has reached the bound of value investment, but it can be an interesting turnaround play.
They are monoplay, and the only selected partner by China Telecom.
The overseas market is growing rapidly.
They can make $2.00 per share easily if margin improves, and cost gets controlled.
Big insider buying around 15.

It sounds to me like it is a more attractive buy than SOHU. Please comment.

2 stocks are too different. In my opinion they are in very different business.

UTSI sells telecom equipment while SOHU is mainly an internet publishing company.

SOHU does have wireless busines. The wireless portion is not significant right now.

This is like trying to compare a newspaper company to a Sillicon Valey Tech equipment company.

Here is my opinion on UTSI:

UTSI business model sucks. I am not fan of any telecom equipment stocks. I do not see stable earning ahead in this type of Telecom equipment business. This is very much similar as Cisco or Lucent. Too risky.

It does have low PE and insider buying. But I would stay out of this UTSI stock for safety reasons.

I moved this thread to public forum because this is not really BIRTP related topic.
