Canadian Value Stocks I have a discount online brokerage account with Scotiabank and one of the features is the Canadian stock screen. It is the best screen I've come across for Canadian stocks because it has almost all the variables you could need for an intitial screen. Unfortunately, there are not that many stocks on the TSX in comparison to the NYSE or other American markets. Anyway, two that caught my eye were:
CGI.TO
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?t=5y&l=on&z=m&q=l&p=&a=&c=&s=CGI.TO
This is not a company, but it is a closed-end fund which is kind of like an ETF. I don't know what the difference is
Next, is: CXA-B.TO http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=CXA-B.TO&t=my&l=on&z=m&q=l&c=
This is just a real-estate holding company.
These were the only two that stuck out to me, but unfortunately, since both of them resemble a form of holding company I don't know if they fall into a strict value investing category. |
